The Dead Weather
Aug, 4 2009
The release of The Dead Weather’s new album, Horehound, marked another diversification for workaholic musician Jack White. The band, comprising White, Alison Mosshart (The Kills), Dean Fertita (Queens of the Stone Age) and Jack Lawrence (The Greenhornes), joins The White Stripes and The Raconteurs as vehicles for White’s energetic self-expression. The Dead Weather’s debut album has been enjoying healthy sales and largely positive reviews but while it seems that the album is doing well enough without further press, the band has decided to include a little sweetener to those fans who splash their cash on hard copy versions of their music. Nestling within six US copies of the album are photo booth picture strips. Those who find the strips will be able to claim an all expenses paid guided trip for two to the Third Man Record studios. The competition closes on August 15, so fans only have a couple of weeks left to find the tickets and claim their prize.
