Biography

Edit

The Dust Brothers are E.Z. Mike and King Gizmo, a duo who became famous in the 1980s for their sample based music and their production work on albums for a broad range of artists.

After working on a college radio station they secured a production deal with Delicious Vinyl Records and went on to work successfully with disparate artists including Tone Loc (Loc'ed After Dark), Young MC (Stone Cold Rhymin), the Beastie Boys (Paul's Boutique), Beck (Odelay and Guero) and Linkin Park (Hybrid Theory). They won a Grammy for Supernatural, and King Gizmo (John King) won one for Washington Square Serenade.

Each of the members also has a list of solo production credits, and both have successfully diversified into writing scores for films including The Pick of Destiny, Road Trip and Freddy Got Fingered.
