Biography

Edit

Though they were initially dogged with comparisons to Coldplay, piano-rock band The Fray have since found platinum-selling success in their own right.

Their momentum gathered slowly with the limited release of the EPs Movement and The Reason. On the basis of their increasing local support the band were offered a recording deal with Epic Records and the debut album How to Save a Life was released shortly after in 2005. Singles from the album, "Over My Head (Cable Car)" and "How to Save a Life", found their way onto several television shows including Scrubs and Grey's Anatomy, and the band's profile increased further. To date their debut album has achieved double platinum status and has earned them several awards including two Grammy nominations.
