The best album nobody ever listened toSince no more than a smattering of people will ever buy this album, much less arrive at the Amazon reviews page and actually read the reviews, why am I bothering to write this? Absolute Precedence, please...Okay, people, enough of the feigned surprise--Darklands was their first (and best) foray into feedback-less pop songs, even though S & D works more often than not.Essentially, there are tunes that could have been dropped from this album, that might have made more sense on a b-sides collection. "Sometimes Always", "Girlfriend", "You've Been a Friend", and "Bullet Lovers" work quite well, but too many of the lesser tunes feel experimental; unfinished, if you will.Overall, it's still a hell of a …
