Deep Cuts is the second full-length album from Swedish electropop duo The Knife. It was released on Rabid Records, in Sweden in 2003 and in the UK in 2004. An extended version is available, released in the UK on Brille Records in 2006 which contains three additional tracks and is packaged with a DVD of music videos. On 31 October 2006, Mute Records issued this and the Knife's self-titled first album in the United States. This marked the first U.S. release of both albums.

5 stars Your mind will be reshaped
It's easy to find this music enthralling. The way it affects your senses, your mood, is completely different from anything you'll experience any time soon. The Knife is completely original.

While some tracks, like "The Cop," are too strange for my liking, tracks like "Heartbeats" and "Rock Classics" and of course the youtube hit "Pass This On" will truly stick with you. You never want to press skip on those.

I hope this helps.

2 stars Not worth the whole album
The Knife are great, I love them. But there are really only 4 good songs on this particular album (Heartbeats, You Take My Breath Away to name two). Quite disappointing. You're better off buying a few of the individual MP3 songs for a buck each. The rest of the songs are just "fillers". Deep Cuts is not as good as a whole as their other albums. So, save a few bucks!
