5 stars Very solid first CD
I picked up a copy of the Music today and have listened to it like three times already. I only saw the Music the other day on the Late Show and liked their sound. The lead singer was dancing up a storm and the guitar was constant and full of energy.

After listening to the CD a couple of times, I'm glad I went out and bought it after only catching a single spot by the band on Tv. The Music's lead singer Robert Harvy sounds very much like Perry Farrel of Jane's Addiction, both in the way he sounds…

3 stars 3 1/2 Stars actually, but the live show is 4 stars
I've seen The Music a couple of times in recent months (opening up for The Vines and Coldplay, respectively). I liked what I saw, and bought the CD. This is not a bad album by any stretch of the imagination but it demonstrates again that sometimes it's difficult to catch a band's sound in the studio.

There is much debate about the band's sound, and whether it owes any debt to Led Zep (no IMHO, but lead singer Robert Harvey does bring to mind a young Robert Plant). From the opening track "The Dan…
