5 stars Excellent Stones Double
I bought this when it was first released. I would have bought Flashpoint anyway but, as a long time Stones fan, wanted the double album for the "Collectibles" tracks. It was money well spent. The Flashpoint album is full of mainly well known live numbers, superbly performed by a band at the peak of their abilities. Real Stones fans will also very much want the 'Collectibles' CD, to hear alternative and usually better versions of many previously released numbers. There are no duds on this double …

3 stars Collectors Take Note
"Flashpoint" (1991) may be a minor item in the Rolling Stones' vast and rich body of work, but the original edition (as opposed to the 1995 Virgin reissue), especially coupled with "Collectables", is worth checking out if you already own a lot of Stones albums. The live portion of "Flashpoint" captures, in almost clinical sound, the band's 1989 - 90 tours. The Stones had not performed in public since 1982, having undergone a midlife crisis of sorts.
