4 1/2 Springfield, You Rock!Until I heard this CD, I never fully appreciated how much music was in "The Simpsons." Sure, I knew the theme songs, and was aware of guest appearances by The Who, The Red Hot Chile Peppers, and many other bands, and I know that Danny Elfmann and ALf Clausen are exceptional composers who excel in many other venues. From Groening's Brain To Your CD PlayerWhile a bit heavy on the instrumentals, and missing "key" Simp-songs, "Songs" remains an homage to the long-running show, and to the composers, Danny Elfman and Alf Clausen's deft talents. It's also a reminder of the late Phil Hartmann's contributions to the show, and that his characters will be sorely missed. Fans not finding their favorites on this CD should check out "Go Simpsonic," and give Dan Castellaneta's "Two Lips," a good listen, as well.
