Third Day is an American Christian rock band formed in 1991. The band comprises founder members Mac Powell and Mark Lee with Tai Anderson, Brad Avery, David Carr and Scott Wilbanks.

After having released a cassette tape demo, the band saved up to self-release Third Day which sold a respectable 20,000 copies. On the basis of those sales, they were signed to Reunion Records and their debut album was re-released by the label. The album was well received by the critics and in 1997 they released their follow-up, Conspiracy No. 5, which was heavier and grungier than their debut.

Time was released in 1999 but, with their Christian ethos becoming more powerful, they released Offering: A Worship Album in 2000. It proved to be their first platinum seller.

Most recently they have released two greatest hits compilation albums, Chronology Volume 1 and Chronology Volume 2. A further studio album is being worked on.
