Biography

Edit

Thursday are a six-piece rock band from New Jersey, formed in 1997 by Geoff Rickly, Tom Keeley, Bill Henderson, Tim Payne, and Tucker Rule. Playing local venues and distributing self-recorded CDs at shows, they made their first big releases on MP3.com, 1999 Summer Tour EP. Tracks on the EP would later be included in the bands' first album release, 2000's Waiting album.

A change of record companies, to Victory Records, for their next releases saw the band at loggerheads with the label for promoting them in the wrong way. Having seen out their contract with Victory, the band moved to another label for the release of 2003's War All The Time, after two more EPs and extensive touring the band took some time off.

In 2006 the band released the album A City By The Light Divided which produced the singles "Counting 5-4-3-2-1" and "At This Velocity". The DVD/CD Kill The House Lights is to be released in late 2007, it chronicles the bands' live performances from late 2006.
