Amazing stories of life changes - great coversThis album changed my life. On this album Tom opended me up to James Taylor and Jackson Browne. The very beginning of 'Lost My Drivin' Wheel' still makes me melt. This album has always been about life changes - from the guy who is trying to get back to a lover, to the woman who came home to watch her father die, to the old man. An album that grows on you to a pointThe reason to buy this album is the last song, "Child's Song," which Rush is primarily known for although he didn't write it. A simple song about growing up and leaving home, it never fails to choke me up.The album kicks off well enough with a nice song called "Driving Wheel," and he does perfunctory performances of two Jackson Browne songs, but there is a hell of a lot of filler here. Still, at about ten bucks, you get your money's worth. And if you're an old hippie you will probably enjoy the nostalgia kick that this album will give you.
