Damn!Damn this album is good! Definately worth of 5 stars. More given today's music scene. This album and Tommy Castro as an artist give me new hope that music, rock in perticular, is not dead, but a healthy breathing animal. 'Right As Rain' has got to be one of the best blues or blues/rock albums I've heard since Indigenous, Mark Selby or B.B. King. I found him right away on the internet and ran right out to buy the album. Can't wait to get ahold of his other stuff.
Decent EffortCastro moves in a slightly more commercial direction for this one and although it is good I don't think it quite measures up to his first two releases. The covers he chooses to do on this album are not the best of choices IMO. Steve Cropper's "Don't Turn Your Heater Down", and Dozier / Holland's "Chairman Of The Board" are both ok, but not as good as others he has chosen on previous discs.
