Trey Sprusance (Mr.Bungle) does some guitar and production work with Tub Ring. Tub Ring is obviously very influenced by Faith no more and Mr.Bungle. They're like a mix of the two. Imagine the rockability of Faith No More, the sudden changes in speed and genre of Bungle, the mad keyboard styles of Dog Fashion Disco, and you have Tub Ring. The vocals of Mike Gilmore are surprisingly good. While he doesn't have the range of Patton he does use a similar style. "Bernards Three Awakeinings" starts wit…

The vocals of Mike Gilmore are surprisingly good. While he doesn't have the range of Patton he does use a similar style. "Bernards Three Awakeinings" starts with some very fast hardcore-punk stylings, and then twists straight into a strange piece with a banjo. "Numbers" starts out as an almost disco ballad reminiscent of Faith No More's "Edge of the World", but then pummels you right into some blistering hardcore with incredible slap-happy bass. Since Mr. Bungle takes its time to release their albums, Tub Ring helps you survive until Bungle is ready. If you like Faith No More, Mr.Bungle, or Dog Fashion Disco, then this is definitely the band for you.

That was pretty bad. And I'm not comparing these guys to WSP. I'm just saying there are worse things one can listen to.I think it's the "soft side" of their music. I feel like I'm listening to Cold Play or something.
