Biography

Edit

Glam metal band Twisted Sister are commonly remembered as a 'hair metal' band: check out the cover to their debut album Under The Blade (1982). Led by singer-songwriter Dee Snider, the band found fame in 1984 after the release of third album Stay Hungry. It went on to sell over three million copies, helped by the singles "We're Not Gonna Take It" and "I Wanna Rock" which were frequently shown on MTV. Fourth LP Come Out And Play wasn't so successful after MTV banned it's first single, "Be Chrool To Your Scuel". The band split up in 1987, but have recently reformed for more gigs and tours.

Twisted Sister

Mar, 18 2008

Twisted Sister’s Jay Jay French has rewritten the band’s <I Wanna Rock> as <I Want Barack> in support of Senator Barack Obama’s presidential campaign. The track is under the name [Jay Jay French and Friends] because Twisted Sister is split on the candidates.
