Widespread Panic is an American southern rock band formed in 1986. The current members are John Bell, John "JoJo" Hermann, Todd Nance, Domingo S. Ortiz, Dave Schools and Jimmy Herring.

They signed with Landslide Records in 1987 and released their debut album Space Wrangler (1988), then switched labels to Capricorn for 1991's Widespread Panic. They released a further seven albums starting with 1993's Everyday, to 2006's Earth to America resulting in worldwide sales of over three million albums. Their relentless touring has won them many fans as time has progressed; their concerts are large and well attended. Their 11th Studio album, Dirty Side Down, will be released by ATO Records on May 25th 2010.
