Canadian jazz singer and pianist Diana Krall is known around the world for her golden voice, which she wraps around traditional pop standards and presents as a gift to her fans.
Krall has released over a dozen albums, but it wasn't until she met and married British new wave icon Elvis Costello that she began writing her own material. The Girl in the Other Room was partially co-written by the husband and wife team in 2003, and released in the spring of 2004; it received rave reviews from critics and sold well throughout the world but did particularly well in the UK. Krall has toured with some of jazz's great performers, most notably Tony Bennett and Ray Charles. She currently lives in New York with her husband and their twin sons.
