Profile Edit

Pop singer Gwen Stefani formed the band No Doubt, and then went on to have her own successful solo career, including the No.1 single "Hollaback Girl".

Stefani joined her brother Eric to form the ska/new wave band No Doubt in 1986. The band hit the big time with their third album release, Tragic Kingdom in 1995. The album sold over 16 million copies and went on to be placed in the top 500 of Rolling Stone magazine's Greatest Albums of All Time list. Stefani also won a Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for "Let Me Blow Ya Mind" which she performed with Eve.

In 2004 No Doubt took a break and Stefani recorded her debut solo album, Love. Angel. Music. Baby.. Her move towards a more dance-orientated sound proved popular with fans and the album sold seven million copies, promoted by the chart-topping "Hollaback Girl". The follow-up, The Sweet Escape, released in 2006, was slightly less successful, but the title track was another big hit. In 2007 No Doubt reformed to start work on their next album - without Stefani.
