Southern rapper Yung Joc is best known for his debut single “It’s Goin’ Down”, which reached No.3 on the Hot 100, and his guest appearance on T-Pain’s chart-topping “Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin’)”.
Yung Joc released his debut album New Joc City (2006) on Bad Boy South, the southern arm of Sean Combs’ Bad Boy Records label. Despite poor reviews it was a platinum-selling success, boosted by the lead single “It’s Goin’ Down”, which reached No.3 on the Hot 100. Later Yung Joc appeared on Danity Kane’s Top 10 hit “Show Stopper”, and in 2007 he performed on T-Pain’s “Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin’)”, which got to No.1. Later that year Yung Joc released his second album Hustlenomic$ (2007), which debuted at No.3 on the Billboard 200.
