"5 STARS--Ay! SUBELO-- pa'que lo escuchan la gente del pueblo... October 16, 2003After seeing the video for "Tuya Soy/Guillaera" on television (these are two perfect, perfect songs) I was expecting a good album but I never imagined that it would be this good. This truly is an amazing album and has instantly become one of the best Cd's in my collection. Most of the tracks are near flawless. This high energy CD will have you bouncing off the walls in no time at all. Ivy Queen is very talented indeed. She's a true gangsta b*tch. She writes good lyrics, she has excellent rapping skills, and her singing voice is equally as strong. How can that be topped? There is a reason that she is the Queen of Reggaeton and I don't imagine that that will change anytime soon. If you are at all a fan of Reggaeton or tough female rappers, do yourself a favor and get a hold of this CD."Above is the review that I wrote of the original edition of `Diva' that was released late last summer. I continue to think great things about both the album and the artist. In fact, if possible, I think even more highly of them now. `Diva' is an album that is greater each time you listen to it.That said, the Platinum Edition of `Diva' is even better than the original issue. The disc contains 5 extra tracks which is definitely a good thing considering that Ivy Queen rarely misses. Included among the extra tracks are a new song (`Papi Te Quiero'), 2 classic tracks (`Quiero Saber' of Kilates y `Quiero Bailar' of The Majestic), and 2 remixes-- one of `Tu No Puedes' and a charming english version of `Papi Te Quiero'. Listening to this album, I was reminded of how Amer-centric some can be in turning up their noses to anything that isn't entirely produced by or from U.S. artists. The production value on this album is as good as ANY english rap album out there right now. The beats are tight, Ivy Queen's flow is smooth, and the songs are wonderfully constructed. This album is truly representative of just why La Abusadora's music has had such an impact and contributed so greatly to the Reggaeton movement-- both to its explosion onto the scene and the movement's growing popularity. I am in awe of Ivy Queen's talent.

Great House MusicGwen Stefani may have heard this album before she went solo but just a guess. The beats are awesome but after awhile, it all sounds the same. Her lyrics are not that insightful but that shouldn't be the reason for listening to this. This is good shake-your-ass music.
