There is nothing that can be put into type to describe how truly amazing this CD is. Saves the Day is one of the best bands around, and this is a glimpse at a side of the band that isn't visible on their LP's. No Crunchy riffs, no tight, loud drums, and no thudding bass. Just Acoustics, and the stripped down vocals of Chris. This CD is beautiful. The guitars sound so...real, and are very well played. Chris delivers an amazing vocal performace, he really pours his heart into every word. His words hang heavy in the air, and even though people have criticized, his voice isn't all that whinny, and even if it is, it's amazing. This CD is less than 15 minutes, but it's some of the best material this band has ever recorded. Every person should own this. This is what you listen to while going to sleep, and this is what you listen to when you've had a bad day and you just want to sit and be there. This is amazingly real and stripped down, emotional music. I'm not ashamed to say that this CD made me cry the first time I heard it, and it still does (yes, I am a guy, and I'm proud to admit I cry). Beautiful in every sense of the word, a must own for all music fans. .... Pay whatever, but buy this CD. It's what music is all about.

"I'm Sorry I'm Leaving" accomplished what it was supposed to and didn't leave a bad taste in anyone's mouth. The intended idea was to show that the band wasn't as one-dimensional as many of the groups it was being bunched in with at the time. (Mainly, A New Found Glory) It also led marvelously from their indie pop rocker "Through Being Cool" into their new evolution in "Stay What You Are." They only problem was they were mainly all older recordings (as is my understanding) with very poor production, that didn't do the band any justice. While the title track is brilliant and "Hold" fails to disappoint... "Jessie and My Whetstone" tends to grate on the nerves after a while. "Take Our Cars Now!" is whimsical and carried by the storytelling but it's around that time you wonder why there aren't more full band tracks like "I'm Sorry I'm Leaving" when you're confronted with, what I like to consider, the worst recorded cover in the history of time. "I Melt With You" [Modern English], and keep in mind when I say this that I'm a saves the day fan, is a huge disaster that will leave you reaching for the advance track button as soon as possible. So ending on a fowl note the album is most definitely a must have for fans, but as for the general public... I don't really think anyone is going to miss "I'm Sorry, I'm Leaving" [oh... how clever]
