This is as good as you get when it comes to Pop. The songs are catcy enough without getting cheesy, and it makes me respect Sherwood for making this album. There is a sense of loss of home, which comes from Track 4 Lake Tahoe. Filed amongst a lot of TV's and stereo's, this is a good find, and probably one of the better pop/rock acts for 2005. I would say download Learn to Sing & Gentleman of Promise, but you can pick this one up used from $6.

Review by Ray Harkins:

This seems to be the year for "sophomore slumps" for most of the newer releases that have hit toward the first half of this year. All of the "big" releases in one way or another haven't delivered on different levels (with the exception of a few).

Sherwood, on their debut EP reminded all of us how fun it was to hear a young band for the first time. Much like the first time you heard Four Minute Mile by The Get Up Kids or Nothing Feels Good by The Promise Ring; it just mad…
