Overview

The Circle is the title of the eleventh studio album by rock band Bon Jovi. Produced by John Shanks, the album is due to be released November 10, 2009, with the new single "We Weren't Born To Follow" premiering on radio August 17. In an interview given to Rolling Stone Magazine, guitarist Richie Sambora says the album is a return to "Rock N Roll" and said "There’s going to be some big choruses on there. It sounds like Bon Jovi, but it sounds fresh. We experimented with a lot of new sounds and had a really good time working with John Shanks, who is also a really good guitar player, so he and I did a lot of ‘weaseling’ with the guitar sounds. There are a lot of really good guitar sounds and new kind atmospheres on the new Bon Jovi record, that I think makes it really modern. I think people are going to dig it, man. And it rocks hard.” Expect a video to accompany the single soon, and promotion for it starting as early as September.

The Circle tour will ensue the following year, “2010, probably spring time we’ll get going. And we’re going to go for a long time. It’s going to be a big one.” Sambora stated.

5 stars Skeptical At First
I was quite skeptical about a CD for $3.99 but I figured what the heck if I get one or two songs I like I'd be happy. I played the CD during my workout and liked every song. There was a heavy bass sound throughout the CD which was fine but I would have been real pleased if there were more lead guitar solos. There were a few that I really enjoyed but even more would have been better. All in all I can tell you this. For $3.99 buy the CD you can't go wrong.

2 stars Whatever happened to the Hair Metal Band of the 80's?
I would classify this more as an "Easy Listening" album than a Rock album.

I guess in their old age they need to tone it down a bit.

This album can definitely make the top 50 "Most UnMetal moments".
